Brandon Irons is a seasoned executive and strategic leader with over two decades of experience spanning energy storage, AI software, and advanced grid technologies. As Director of A113 Venture Fund, Brandon brings deep expertise in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), smart grid infrastructure, utility line construction, and consultative technology sales. His broad background positions him as a key asset in advancing A113’s mission to invest in transformative technologies across critical infrastructure, defense, and next-generation energy sectors.

Brandon has held senior roles in the SaaS, utility, and clean tech industries, leading initiatives in advanced metering infrastructure (AMI), smart metering, IoT platforms, and energy efficiency software. His experience includes large-scale EPC projects, smart grid automation, and building out organizations focused on high-impact solutions for electric utilities and industrial clients. He has successfully led marketing, sales, and business development efforts, engaging stakeholders at all levels—from executive boards to public sector and investment communities.

The founder of A113 Venture Fund is a visionary executive with more than two decades of leadership experience across the technology, telecommunications, and energy sectors. Internationally respected for his pioneering work, he has played a critical role in helping private industry, government agencies, and defense organizations remain resilient and competitive in a rapidly evolving world.

With deep expertise in renewable energy, smart infrastructure, and environmental sustainability, our founder has contributed to groundbreaking innovations in digital media, multicultural technology integration, and next-generation energy solutions. His work has intersected with leading global technology firms and has influenced the design of smart electric meters, grid automation platforms, distributed energy systems, and two-phase liquid immersion data center architectures.

A dedicated member of the FBI InfraGard program since 2015, he has actively collaborated with federal, state, and local agencies to safeguard critical infrastructure and support national security initiatives.

In 2010, he founded a pioneering company that partnered with rural electric cooperatives and municipal utilities to bridge the digital divide through the deployment of fiber and wireless telecommunications networks. The firm also modernized substations with SCADA systems and advanced cybersecurity solutions, transforming rural infrastructure and connectivity across the U.S.

Building upon that momentum, he launched a data center startup that quickly became an industry leader in two-phase liquid immersion cooling for edge computing. The company raised over $100 million in funding and was acquired in 2024 by a publicly traded Fortune 1000 industrial leader—marking a significant milestone in his entrepreneurial journey.
